Hello dear foodies,
Recently, the babe was devastated to discover through a friend that part of my blog has been screwed up because of my poor literacy in all things techie. Let me explain... One day, I encountered a photo uploading problem on my blog because I have apparently reached the free storage limit allotted by Google. So, I tried to figure out how to free up my space and found that my blog photos are stored in Google's Picasa Web Albums. Since I saw that there were several albums of duplicate photos, I deleted some. Little did I know that these were linked to the blog and consequently lost the photos of posts containing the photos in the albums I deleted. So now, some old posts look like this:
If only there was a screaming avatar who warned me before I deleted those albums. Oh well. Now I'll have to re-upload every single photo that was lost from the posts. Sorry for the glitches! I haven't gotten a comment from any reader complaining about this though.
I would also just like to thank The Pickiest Eater for commenting on my blog's FB page status about this, sharing that he's had the same experience and giving me advice on how to fix it. It was comforting to know that I wasn't the only idiot. Kidding! I love you, Richie! But yes, we had to learn the hard way. And thanks to my friend, JM of My Tasteful Life, for informing me about this glitch.
I'll do my best to work on this and fix it before the year ends. Please bear with me! It's hard enough updating the blog with a full schedule in school but let's be happy because it's Christmas. Besides, I have some good news to share with you soon! :D

Merry Christmas and happy holidays, everyone!
Hahaha! Just thought adding that line would lighten the mood a bit. :))
ReplyDeleteAaaww, thanks so much, Richie! You're one of the best things that's happened to me this year. You inspire me. :D
I experienced almost the same thing, but I was using photobucket then, I reach the monthly quota pala. Anyway, I hope your blog will be fine soon. :)

Oh, I guess there are more bloggers who experienced this or a similar thing. Thanks! :)
