Italian Finals

           Since I'm terribly missing the hot kitchen, here's something to reminisce (for me) and maybe even inspire you guys. :D


        On the final stretch of the last week of classes, the class had to cook in groups for the major's final exam. It was a themed lunch of five courses and the mode of service was tray service. My group agreed on Italian cuisine and I made the menu:
  • Soup: Minestrone
  • Salad: Insalata Caprese
  • Main Course: Pan-seared Rosemary Chicken
  • Cereal: Creamed Potato Gnocchi
  • Dessert: Tiramisu
  • Beverage: Agua Limon
       My group consisted of five members, including myself - Carl, Chene, Pepe, Art and I. We delegated each recipe to each member to finish the menu asap and I kept it as simple as possible.

Insalata Caprese w/ balsamic reduction and olive oil

Pan-seared Rosemary Chicken by Carl
with Creamed Potato Gnocchi by me  
Tiramisu by Chene
Agua Limon by Art
And by our powers combined, you get this! :D


I don't know about you, but that's making me hungry. :))


We were so busy we didn't get to take a group photo. :( 


I miss cooking with my group and I hope we'd still stick together for every kitchen lab subject 'til the end of our course.

      Thanks! Sure, just gimme some time to type the recipes though because I didn't write them down from the start. Haha. Should I send them to Hizon catering's email? Or would you prefer your personal email instead? :)
