My Longsilog Story

I FINALLY COOKED AT HOME FOR THE
FIRST TIME (THIS YEAR)! :D

Longsilog -- King's longanisa hamonada,
sunny-side-up and brown rice

There's a little confession I'd like to divulge as a prelude to why I'm ecstatic about this simple meal I made for myself. We don't have a single gas stove at home (don't ask why; long story) so our meals are usually fastfood takeouts. I know, horrible. But my awesome boyfriend knows how much I miss cooking so he gave me a portable gas stove for Christmas! You can imagine how delighted I was and squeaked at the first sight of it.

Since you already know we don't have a gas stove at home, obviously, we didn't have pans either. So, I wished I could soon save enough to buy me at least one pan to cook with. And alas, God really does love me because I finally bought one as part of my investment for The Cooking Fashionistas Vlog Series, too! Thus, the birth of this common Filipino meal -- longsilog. But it's not your average longsilog, FYI. That's KING'S longanisa hamonada. It's been a favorite for quite a while now and it always tickles my taste buds the right way every single time. It's got just the right kick of spice to awaken my senses in the morning and the skin isn't annoyingly thick as well. So, there. Ta-da! My first home-cooked meal for the year! :D

You can find King's longanisa hamonada and more of their various products in all leading grocery stores or supermarkets and just recently, Islands Pasalubong

Add them on Facebook to see more of their products!

    1. You can actually find these in the home section of department stores in the mall. I think it ranges from P800 - P1,500. :)
